Sweden to extend restrictions
We’ve recently received word that the Swedish government has for a second time decided to extend the validity of the temporary regulations on gambling liability measures due to the spread of Covid-19.
The temporary regulations which were meant to expire at the end of June 2021 have now been extended until 14 November 2021.
The rules state that the deposit limit for online casino bets may not exceed SEK 5,000 weekly and that the corresponding loss limit applies to bets on vending machines.
It is also mandatory for players to set limits on playing time when betting on online casinos and vending machines.
Furthermore, bonuses offered by licensed online casinos and vending machines may amount to a maximum of SEK 100.
